OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH
ABOUT THE BIBLE
We believe that all scripture, both the Old and New Testaments, were inspired by God and are inerrant in the original manuscripts. The Bible is the revelation of God to man and is the final authority for what we believe on all subjects on which it speaks.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17, Matthew 17:17, 2 Peter 1:20-21)
ABOUT THE TRINITY
We believe in one true God, existing eternally in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These being one God are equal in deity, power, and glory.
(Matthew 28:19, Mark 12:29, John 1:1 &14, Deuteronomy 6:4-5, Luke 3:21-22, 2 Corinthians 13:14, Ephesians 1:9, Colossians 1:16-17 & 6:11, John 15:26, Acts 5:3-4, Hebrews 1:1-3)
ABOUT JESUS
We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. He died as the atoning sacrifice for our sins and the sins of the world. He was buried and bodily rose from the dead according to the scriptures. We believe that He died in our place, and that all who receive Him by faith are born again and are indwelt by the Holy Spirit. Through our belief in Jesus, we become children of God, receiving the eternal life. We believe that it is the shed blood of Jesus, restoring our fellowship with God, that gives us everything we need to live a victorious life including healing and the ability to hear the voice of God. We believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
(John 1:1-18, Matthew 1:18-25, 1 John 2:2, 1 Corinthians 15:3-28, 1 Peter 2:24, John 3:3 & 16; 14:16-17, John 6:40, Romans 3:21-26)
ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that Jesus asked the Father to give us an advocate (the Holy Spirit) to help us and live in us. We also believe that signs and wonders, as well as all the gifts of the Spirit described in the New Testament, are operative today. They are designed to testify to the presence of the Kingdom and to teach, empower, and edify believers to fulfill their calling and mission. We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are given to every believer and need to be activated and exercised to fulfill their divine purpose of blessing the Body of Christ. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit wherein the Spirit is sent to gift each believer with their own prayer/praise language, and that such a baptism empowers the believer to be effective for Christ.
(John 14:16-17 & 26, Matthew 3:11, Romans 8:9 & 12:3-9, 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, 2 Corinthians 1:21-22, Ephesians 1:13-14, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:39, 2 Timothy 1:6, 1 Corinthians 14:2, Jude 20,
1 Corinthians 14:18, Acts 19:1-6)
ABOUT HEALING
When Jesus walked the earth, He demonstrated His authority over all pain, sickness, disease, and even death by healing the sick, raising the dead, and casting out demons. Jesus told us that anyone who believes in Him will also do the things that He did and even greater things when we ask in His name. We believe Jesus still has compassion for people, and that it is His desire for us to prosper and be in good health even as our souls prosper. We believe that nothing is impossible for God and that the cross paid for healing of our body, mind and soul, for "by His (Jesus) stripes we are healed". We believe and walk in faith for healing of any afflictions of body, mind, and soul.
(Matthew 14:14 & 36; Matthew 8:16, John 14:12-14, Matthew 13:8, Matthew 4:23-24, 3 John 1:2, Genesis 18:14, Luke 1:37, Mark 10:27, 1 Peter 2:24, Acts 3:16, Isaiah 53:3-6, James 5:14, Acts 10:38, James 5:14-15)
ABOUT PROPHECY
We believe that God speaks today, and that prophecy is one of the methods God uses to communicate. The Bible tells us that prophecy is one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We believe that prophecy is hearing from God and speaking what we hear, demonstrating God's love. We believe that prophecy is speaking God's heart, which is always for restoration, redemption, and renewal. Thus, prophetic words spoken to an individual are for edification (building up), exhortation (encouragement), and comfort (console, lighten one's burden).
(Romans 12:6-8, 1 Corinthians 12:4 & 11, 1 Corinthians 12:28, 1 Corinthians 14:3, Ephesians 4:11)
ABOUT DELIVERANCE
We believe that deliverance is a rescue from bondage (mental, emotional, physical, spiritual) and that all aspects of deliverance are available only through the person and work of Jesus Christ. We believe that our warfare is with the forces of evil and that the battlefield is primarily in the spiritual realms. We believe that the name of Jesus along with His shed blood give us the authority and power to bring deliverance to others through the working of the Holy Spirit.
(Ephesians 6:12-17, Mark 16:17-18, Acts 1:8, Job 5:19, Psalms 91:3-4, John 14:12)
